Preschool Options at Mesabi East
Mesabi East Early Childhood Programs provide a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experience for young children and their families. We invite families to apply and join a program designed to support your child’s growth through hands-on learning, structured routines, and meaningful social development.
Our Early Childhood classrooms nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a love for learning, helping children build the foundational skills they need for success in kindergarten and beyond. At Mesabi East, we believe early learning is about more than academics. It’s about helping children learn how to communicate, solve problems, work with others, and feel safe and supported as they explore the world around them.
We understand that every child develops at their own pace, and every family has unique needs. That’s why Mesabi East offers multiple early childhood options, plus Structured Day Programming for families who need additional care. Whether your child is starting their first school experience or preparing for the transition to kindergarten, we’re here to help them learn, grow, and thrive.

Mesabi East Early Childhood Programs include a variety of options, including tuition-based programs and programs that may be provided at no cost for families who meet qualifying criteria. Tuition costs and payment options depend on the program your child is enrolled in.
Some Early Childhood programs have a daily tuition cost. These fees may be paid using parent fees, Early Learning Scholarships, and some IEP services when applicable.
For families who meet qualifying criteria, the district provides 3-Day Pre-K free of charge.
Families may be able to use scholarships or additional supports to help cover tuition costs. If you have questions about eligibility or how to apply a scholarship, please contact Heather Seppala.
