Mesabi East Early Childhood Programs provide a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experience for young children and their families. We invite families to apply and join a program designed to support your child’s growth through hands-on learning, structured routines, and meaningful social development.
Our Early Childhood classrooms nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a love for learning, helping children build the foundational skills they need for success in kindergarten and beyond. At Mesabi East, we believe early learning is about more than academics. It’s about helping children learn how to communicate, solve problems, work with others, and feel safe and supported as they explore the world around them.
We understand that every child develops at their own pace, and every family has unique needs. That’s why Mesabi East offers multiple early childhood options, plus Structured Day Programming for families who need additional care. Whether your child is starting their first school experience or preparing for the transition to kindergarten, we’re here to help them learn, grow, and thrive.

Enrolling your child in Mesabi East Early Childhood Programs is a simple process, and our staff is here to help. Families who are enrolling in our district for the first time will need to complete required enrollment paperwork before registration is finalized. If your child is already enrolled in Mesabi East Preschool, you may not need to complete the full paper enrollment packet again.
Enrollment for the upcoming school year opens April 1st. Applications submitted before April 1st will be reviewed for the current school year, if space is still available. Applications submitted on or after April 1st will be considered for the next school year.
Spots are limited and programs may fill quickly. If a class reaches capacity, families may request to be placed on a waiting list. Please note: your application is not considered complete until all required paperwork and enrollment forms have been submitted.

Families may complete enrollment using a paper application packet (available in the Elementary Office) or by completing the online enrollment links below (all links must be completed).
Preschool ApplicationIf your child is currently enrolled in any Mesabi East Early Childhood Program, you do not need to fill out the paper enrollment forms again. Please contact the elementary office if you have questions about what information may still be required for your child’s placement.
