The Mesabi East Counseling Office provides academic guidance, social–emotional support, career planning assistance, and college preparation resources for all students. Our counselors work closely with students and families to help them make informed decisions about coursework, graduation requirements, postsecondary planning, and personal well-being.

State assessments help measure student progress, strengthen instruction, and ensure that Mesabi East meets state academic standards. The Counseling Office provides information about testing schedules, requirements, preparation resources, and the role of assessments in graduation planning.
Tests may include MCA exams, ACT/Aspire assessments, college and career readiness benchmarks, and other state-mandated evaluations.
Counselors help students understand test expectations, interpret results, and use assessment data to plan future coursework and goals.
