The Mesabi East Counseling Office provides academic guidance, social–emotional support, career planning assistance, and college preparation resources for all students. Our counselors work closely with students and families to help them make informed decisions about coursework, graduation requirements, postsecondary planning, and personal well-being.
The Counseling Office is a central resource for students navigating the transition from middle school to high school and from high school to life beyond graduation. With a focus on individualized support, the department helps each student develop a plan that aligns with their strengths, interests, and goals.

PSEO allows eligible high school students to take college courses while earning both high school and college credit at no cost. The Counseling Office helps students understand eligibility, application steps, deadlines, and available course options through partnering colleges.
Students interested in PSEO receive individualized advising to determine whether the program fits their academic goals and schedule. Counselors also support transcript management, credit transfers, and balance between high school and college commitments.
PSEO offers motivated students a chance to experience advanced coursework and accelerate their educational pathway.
